Tools needed to help you in these experiments are as follows:
- 15mm Copper pipe
- 15mm Solder elbow
- 15mm Solder tee
- 2/3Forks
- Hob turned on full heat.
Simples
The pictures arent actually of me joining all the bits together. I've actually just done that. But what i forgot about was the solder in the open part of the fitting. I had to leave one part open in order to be able to physically wire the lamps later on. So this is me trying to heat a very specific part of the frame in order to remove the solder that had re-set and was blocking the pipes from fitting together properly.
AND NOW THE FORKS! When cooking on the stove and not in the oven you need to make sure that the solder is heated evenly. Hens the rotating is necessary.
Once the solder had been extracted, i needed to create the second part of the frame. This involved me heating the middle tee first and then allowing that to cool and the solder to set. THEN to fix the feet so they would turn downwards. i didn't want to stand there and hold the frame upwards, so i attached the other half of the frame, and propped it up on my third fork.
