I've gathered my materials for my first prototype. The measurements consisted of: 30cm x 1, 12cm x 4 and 8cm x 1. I decided to use compression fittings as I don't have the blow torch necessary for the solder fittings. They are however more expensive, and the materials in the picture came to £15. I'm going to have to really look at the design and materials on offer in order to reduce my costs.

Im trying to put the pieces together and then realise its not as simple as just screwing the pieces tightly. I thought that by hand it might not be water tight, but at least it would hold it in place firmly. I thought wrong. SO i pop down to the shop and get a 15mm wrench. I then get home and realise that it was fine for my 15mm pipe, BUT NOT the compression fittings. So i had a little cry, went back to the shop and got a bigger one. It worked beautifully.
